Sue Vieru    b. 1954

Sue was born in Worthing in 1954 and would have loved to have gone to art college at eighteen but was directed into what was seen as ‘a more stable profession’. So after thirty two years in secondary school teaching, she retired early and embarked on the part-time BA in Fine Art at Chichester University.

Sue loves exploring and experimenting with colour, constructing large-scale non-figurative abstract pieces involving perspex or glass, inks, dyes, waxes and resin and often produces illuminated work bordering on what may be considered as ‘installation’.

Sue has successfully undertaken both temporary and permanent (site-specific and stand-alone) works for places of worship and is willing to consider commissions for churches, businesses or private individuals.
